Like all Americans, it took me a while to learn the truth. Meeting and marrying a Palestinian Nakba survivor certainly changed my life. Now, after watching our empire with increasing despair, I no longer have illusions it was ever any good. The American people, however, are often kind and committed to changing things. I have great hope for our younger generation
I am learning that empire or state power knows no boundaries of decency. You had to learn quickly, I imagine. Please, keep writing.
